At the family farm, on January 22, 1936 parents Rudolph and Martha (Luedloff) Jabs celebrated the birth of their only daughter, Adeline Caroline Jabs. She was the youngest of five children.

Along with her brothers, Addie attended a schoolhouse outside Jordan. Whenever the river flooded, they would boat across to attend school. After her high school graduation, Addie began working.

She was employed at Rosemount Incorporated and was a bartender with numerous bars & restaurants over the years—Clancy’s, Shotszy’s, The Green Lantern, Alphonse’s, and many others! Later in life, Addie was the manager at the Schule House.

Addie met William “Bill” Hein and they were married on May 8, 1957 at St. John Lutheran Church in Chaska. As a mother, Addie had her hands full raising six boys! She made sure to teach them life skills—cooking, sewing, cleaning, and the importance of family & faith. Addie’s home was always open to friends and family.

As a family, they enjoyed visiting relatives, camping, fishing, and going to Fish Lake. Later in life, Addie traveled throughout the US, collecting spoons along the way. Her favorite trip was to Hawaii. At home, Addie loved playing cards with her brothers and their wives.

A dedicated woman, Addie was active in her church and the community. She was a member of the St. Paul’s Ladies Aid, the Jordan VFW Auxiliary, and the New Prague American Legion. Addie had a servant’s heart. She was generous, kind and loving to all of those who needed a helping hand.

Addie is loved and missed by her sons, Paul (Sandra) Hein, Randy (Rosemary) Hein, Raymond (Renee) Hein, Eugene (Cheryl) Hein, Todd (Krista) Hein; grandchildren, Joshua, Tammy Jo, Terry, Wyatt, Shawn, Crystal, Billy, Matthew, Monica, Mark, Margaret, Maranda, Michael, Mellissa, Jacob, Nina, Dylan, Larisa, Cory, Brandon, and Tristan; many great-grandchildren; brother, Elmer Jabs; sister-in-law, Bernice Hein; other loving relatives and friends.
