Beava’s life story

Beava Dorotha Fletcher

Beava Dorotha Fletcher was born on March 11, 1920 in Little Pine Township, Aitkin, MN to parents Clarence and Pearl (Happy) Bennett. The family lived in Little Pine for several years before moving to Kansas where her dad took over the family farm. They lived there until Beava was 16 years old, then they moved back to Minnesota in May of 1936. Beava lived on the old Fletcher farm until she married.

Beava was united in marriage to Paul Fletcher on October 26, 1940 at Little Pine Church in Emily. They were blessed with four children, Patricia, Kenneth, Gene, Gary.

She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening and had a special love for growing raspberries and strawberries. She and Paul enjoyed fishing and one of their most memorable trips was a houseboat trip to Lake of the Woods.

She was a member of the Parent Teachers Association in Emily, Wesleyan Missionary Society and active in the church choir at Little Pine Church. Beava and Paul took an active part in every church they belonged to and were proud that they could give back both monetarily and in giving of their time.

A hard working, soft spoken and generous soul, Beava entered God’s arms at the age of 92 in the afternoon hours of Friday, October 19, 2012 at Golden Living Center in Bloomington, MN.

Forever loved, Beava will be deeply missed by her children, Patricia (Jack Tschimperle) Banks of Richfield, Kenneth (Connie) Fletcher of Eagan, Gene (Rita) Fletcher of Prior Lake, Gary (LuAnn) Fletcher of LaCrosse, WI; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister in law, Lois Fletcher of Emily; many other loving relatives and friends.

Beava is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Fletcher; parents, Clarence and Pearl Bennett; son-in-law, Cecil Banks; grandson, Matthew Fletcher; sister, Wilma (Ralph) True; brother, Shelby (Alice) Bennett.

Beava’s pall bearers will be her grandchildren.
