Betty Mary Pouliot, a resident of New Hope/Maple Grove, passed away peacefully at the age of 92 on Tuesday, September 1, 2015.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, September 4, 2015 at 11 am, with a visitation one hour prior both at The Parish of St. Joachim and Anne (St Mark) 350 South Atwood Street, Shakopee, MN. The Reverend Father Erik Lundgren will preside. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Nicolas Pouliot, Trenton Pouliot, Oralee Hespenheide, Rachel Hedlund, Lane Thompson, Vicky Pouliot. Betty will be laid to rest on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Cemetery, Corcoran, MN. The Reverend Father Gallas will lead prayers.
Betty was born on December 3, 1922 in Minneapolis, MN to parents Niels and Alma Sophie-Ann (Orum) Jessen. She married Vernon Phillip Pouliot on August 31, 1943 at St. Mary’s of the Lake, Medicine Lake, MN. They were blessed with four children, Carole Annette, Vernon Phillip, David Paul and Thomas Charles.
Left to honor Betty’s life and mourn the death is her daughter, Carole Annette “Ann” (Don) Hedlund; sons, David (Tracy) Pouliot, Thomas (Jan) Pouliot; daughter-in-law, Karen Pouliot; grandchildren, Dawn Hespenheide, LeAnn (Randy) Wessbecker, Victoria (Andrew) James, Nicolas (Megan) Pouliot, Trenton Pouliot; great-grandchildren, Oralee, Rachel, Lane, Jack, Quentin; other loving relatives and devoted friends.
There to welcome Betty home in heaven is husband, Vernon Pouliot Sr; son, Vernon Phillip Pouliot Jr; parents, Niels and Alma Jessen; all her brothers and sisters.
