Bill Hannen

Steven "Bill" William Hannen, age 80, of Prior Lake, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Woodlyn Heights Senior Living in Inver Grove Heights.  A Memorial Gathering will be held on Monday, February 3, 2025 from 3:30 - 5:00 PM at Ballard-Sunder Funeral & Cremation (4565 Pleasant St. SE) in Prior Lake.

Bill was born on August 2nd, 1944 to Oliver and Margaret (Coursolle) Hannen.

Bill attended Prior Lake Schools. He spent most of his life working for his father, who owned several properties in Prior Lake, but also worked as a DJ at a radio station in Edmond, Oklahoma for a year and then at the local KCHK station in New Prague for 5 years. Bill enjoyed reading and listening to music, with Big Band Eras being a favorite. He was a faithful fan of both the Minnesota Twins and the Minnesota Vikings. He loved playing Who Wants to be a Millionaire and was very good at trivia. 

Survived by nephew, Lance Hannen and good friends, Deb & Dale Tribby. Will be missed by friends Kathy Porter, Sarah Leininger, Dawn Isle and Johnna Braaten.

Preceded in death by parents, Oliver and Margaret Hannen; and his brother Richard "Dick" Hannen.
