Bradley Russell Scott, age 53, of Jordan, MN, passed peacefully on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, with family present at his side.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 27 at 11 am, with a visitation from 9-10:45 am, at Ballard-Sunder Funeral and Cremation, 4565 Pleasant Street SE, Prior Lake, MN. Masks are required. Pastor Mark Chapman will preside. Pall bearers will be Matthew Scott, Gavin Bullyan, Sebastian Bullyan, John Lorenz, Nick Taylor and Andrew Johnson. Brad will be laid to rest at Concord Hill Cemetery, in Lydia, MN.

Born on October 31, 1967, in Shakopee, MN, Brad was welcome by his parents Ronald and Karen (Killian) Scott. Growing up in rural Jordan on the Killian family farm, he was the first-born child, but when his sister Susannah was adopted (and being a tad older), they liked to tease each other as to who really was the oldest! A few years later, Brad welcomed another adopted sister, Amy and later on a blood brother, Matthew. As kids, they spent countless hours playing in the woods, while Brad carved trails through the trees for unlimited fun on the three-wheelers. When not in the woods, you could find the Scott children, along with cousins and friends playing in the family pool. Brad and his family even enjoyed several trips to Disney World through the years, making many fond memories along the way.

After graduating from Jordan High School in 1986, Brad worked various jobs for many years. But he had a desire to return to his farming roots. As a child, Brad relished working side by side with Grandpa Killian. He watched him closely fix the old tractors and machinery, instilling lifelong mechanical skills for Brad. Taking all these experiences and interests, he took a leap of faith and started his own business, Brad Scott Restoration. He especially found great joy working at his own pace restoring old tractors and engines. This passion went well beyond the shop. Brad loved attending auctions and swap meets looking for that next project. He also continued the family roots of participating in the Scott County Threshers for many decades. Brad supported and served on the board for many years.

Brad was quiet in nature but loved to talk farming, whenever he could. A kid at heart, Brad had a special connection with children. He was especially an awesome uncle and enjoyed every minute with them! Brad and his siblings were always close, but he had a deeper connection with Matthew. They were like two peas in a pod, sharing the same interests and passions.

In 2012, Brad was diagnosed with cancer. He approached this journey with a model of positivity and the resilience to be strong hoping to overcome the diagnose. Brad never complained, despite all the trials and tribulations. He had a strong faith and fought a valiant fight.

Forever loved, Brad will be missed by parents, Ron and Karen Scott; siblings, Susannah (Bill) Huffstutler, Amy (Adam) Bullyan, Matthew Scott; niece and nephews, Katie (Keith) Maki, Michael Huffstutler, Thomas Huffstutler, Gavin Bullyan, Sebastian Bullyan; great-nephew, Carter Maki; other relatives and friends.

Welcoming Brad home in Heaven are his grandparents.
