Bryan Mork

Bryan Mork, age 61 of Nerstrand, MN, formerly Shakopee, MN, passed away Wednesday February 23, 2022 in Northfield, MN.

A time of gathering honoring Bryan’s life will be held Saturday March 19 th , starting at 1:00 P.M. Family and friends will be given the chance to share stories beginning at 3:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M., all at Ballard-Sunder Funeral Home, 833 South Marschall Road, Shakopee.

Bryan was born to Jim and Marlene Mork on March 26, 1960 in Fort Worth, Texas. Growing up in Shakopee, MN, he was the oldest of three children. After graduating from Shakopee High School in 1978, Bryan joined the workforce. He worked for Cargill and Cardinal Glass.

After moving from Shakopee to Savage, MN, Bryan and Tammy Johnson welcomed their two boys, Tanner Johnson-Mork and Conner Johnson-Mork into their lives. Bryan loved his family and extended family, and never missed a family reunion.

In 2014, he moved to Nerstrand, MN to a house in the country, with a shop where he could spend hours tinkering on many projects. A man of many talents, Bryan’s new home also made it convenient for him to hunt for morel mushrooms- in his own backyard!

Bryan had a lifelong love of dogs and had one most of his life. After settling in Nerstrand, Bryan acquired his first cat, Conki, who he taught tricks like roll over. He always joked that Conki was the hardest dog he ever trained. When not at home, Bryan spent his days riding motorcycles and driving cars. He would often travel to Brainerd, MN to go to drag races. He loved all things fast.

Bryan was a truly rare and unique individual. His love for his family, adventure, and his free-spirited nature will be deeply missed.

Bryan is preceded in death by his mother, Marlene. He is survived by his sons, Tanner and Conner; father, Jim Mork; siblings, Mona (Randy) Gansen and Shawn (Kelly) Mork; many beloved nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
