Carol Anna Lambrecht, age 88, of Jordan, MN, passed peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, January 8, 2024, at St. Gertrudes Health and Rehabilitation Center in Shakopee, MN.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024, from 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM, at Ballard-Sunder Funeral & Cremation, 104 First Street West, Jordan. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:00 PM, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, 215 Main Street East, New Prague, MN. Reverend Eugene Theisen. Acting as pall bearers will be Zach Lambrecht, Dustin Lambrecht, Neal Lambrecht, CJ Picha, Lance Picha and Dillon Lambrecht. Carol will be laid to rest at St. Benedict Catholic Cemetery.
Carol graced this world on November 22, 1935, in Savage, MN. Born a twin, she was the youngest of 10 children to Joseph and Caroline (Weasler) Efta. Carol grew up on the family farm in the St. Catherine, MN area. Here, she attended St. Catherine Grade School and spent her days working hard on the farm with family. Carol completed her education with graduating from Jordan High School.
While attending a dance at the New Prague Ballroom and beknown to Carol, she met the love of her life, Donald A. Lambrecht. They started courting and on May 11, 1957, at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church, Carol and Don were united in Holy Matrimony. They spent the next 53 years working side by side on the farm and creating precious memories along the way. Carol was an amazing mother of 9, grandma of 22 and great grandma of 22.
Family was always core in Carol and Don’s life. They forever made the holidays special for all their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Besides providing for her family, Carol enjoyed taking singing lessons with her twin sister, Doris, as a young gal. She could be found dancing the night away on the dance floor, especially with her husband, Don. Carol enjoyed playing cards, working in the garden, taking on the challenge of a puzzle, and watching old TV shows. She was amazing in the kitchen. Carol made the most delicious homemade apple pies, donuts, putchkas and popcorn, Carol also knew her craft of canning especially pickles and tomato juice.
Forever loved, Carol will be missed by children, Sharon (Rick) Carlson, Jim (Jodie) Lambrecht, Laureen (Jay) Picha, Gordy (Penny) Lambrecht, Tom (Lois) Lambrecht, Dawn Lambrecht, Vickie (Jerry) Novak, John (Sheila) Lambrecht: daughter-in-law, Emily Lambrecht; 22 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Joan Efta, Dorothy Efta; brother-in-law, Dave Pearl; other relatives and friends.
Carol is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Don; son, Paul “Lumpy”; parents; siblings, Donald, Edmund, Richard, Eileen, Herbert, Marjorie, Dorothy, Jerry, and twin sister, Doris.
