Catherine Ann (Robling) Putka, age 57, of Burnsville, died suddenly at her home from a cancer-related illness on May 20, 2015. Catherine was born May 25, 1957, to parents Wilbert and Jeanette (Geis) Robling in Shakopee, MN. She attended St. John the Baptist Catholic School in Jordan, Jordan High School, graduated from Shakopee High School in 1975, and was a graduate of Normandale Community College. She was employed with ProAct in Dakota County.
Catherine was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, and spinning her own yarn. She was a member of a spinning group at Evergreen Church in Lakeville.
She is survived by her daughter, Joanne (Kyle) Powell, and grandchildren Fisher, Shepherd, Bella,and Joulika Powell of Fort Branch, Indiana; grandchildren Michael, Brittany, Crystal, and Amanda Putka of Ramsey;brothers Tony (Claire), Tom, Ben, Paul (Janet) and Ken (Amy) Robling; and sisters Sue (Lee) Dvorak, Marie Robling, Laurie (David) Holzer, Patty (Carl) Craane, and Margaret (David) Lenzmeier; many nieces and nephews and other relatives.
She is preceded in death by her parents, son Joshua, infant brother Michael and sister in-law Nancy Robling.
Memorial Services will be held on Sunday, May 24, 2015, 5:00 PM at Evergreen Community Church, 16165 Kenwood Trail, Lakeville, MN 55044.
