Clyde Russell Carter, age 87 of Barnes, Wisconsin, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at the Belle Plaine Lutheran Home.
Clyde was born on September 3, 1929 to parents Clyde and Clara (Corigan) Carter in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He worked as a salesman with Dow Chemical Company for thirty years. For the next 30 years, he was active in Barnes, WI. On August 7, 1954, Clyde and Lolita Durham exchanged wedding vows in Vallejo, California. They were blessed with 62 years of marriage.
A graveside service will be at Barnes Cemetery at a later date. He is survived by his wife, Lolita Carter; daughters, Linda Roe, Connie Carter, Daniel (Lori) Carter, Christy (Duane) McGuffee; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren. Clyde is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Allen Carter; sister, Shirlie McCorkell, and son-in-law, Dennis Roe.
