Curtis Allen Jasmer was born to Delbert and Irene (Kohout) Jasmer on September 17, 1962. From the moment he was born, Curt was a beacon of joy and love.

Growing up in Lydia as the sixth of seven children, he radiated warmth and a genuine spirit that endeared him to all who had the privilege to know him. His unyielding faith guided his every step, reflecting the profound belief that he was truly a child of God.

Curt graduated from Jordan High School in 1984. Following graduation, he began working and living an independent life. He began his work life as a dishwasher at the Horse and Hunt Club. He also worked as a dishwasher at Canterbury for over two decades. Curt made many wonderful friends along the way. No task was too small for Curt, who was known for ushering at church nearly every week (whether it was his turn or not), driven by a faith that encouraged him to spread joy wherever he went.

With a personality that sparkled with humor and playfulness, Curt had an uncanny knack for practical jokes that brought laughter into the hearts of his friends and family. He possessed a sharp intellect and a subtle wit that his family cherished. His ability to remember names, birth dates, and details about the people in his life painted him as a warm soul, always showing genuine interest in the lives of others.

Curt held a love for music, often found in the solace of his room, singing along to his extensive Music collection. His favorites were Barbara Mandrell, Dolly Parton, and Johnny Cash. Curt loved to travel. He especially liked the annual trip to Twin Farms Resort where he spent time swimming, fishing and enjoying time with family.

In addition to his love for music and travel, Curt savored life's simple pleasures—such as coffee with friends, going to Perkins, and attending family events. His hobbies included bowling, bingo, dancing and he held a deep affection for animals, particularly dogs, insisting they join in on family adventures. Curt also proclaimed he was the Vikings #1 Fan!

Throughout his life, Curt participated in the Special Olympics, showcasing his love for running and fostering a vibrant community around him. His zest for life and his strong values left a handprint on the hearts of many.

Curt lived a life steeped in love, laughter, and faith—a truly remarkable soul who touched the lives of many, leaving them richer for having known him. His legacy of kindness, laughter, and unyielding love will endure as a guiding light for all who remain.

Curt is survived by his loving siblings, Darrell (Janet) Jasmer, Doug (Nancy) Jasmer, Vicki (Elmer Jr.) Lambrecht, Cheryl Chalmers, Paula Neisen, and Bob (Chris) Jasmer; a multitude of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and other loving relatives and many dear friends.
