Debbie Richardson, age 64 of Shakopee, went home to the Lord on Friday, July 21, 2018. A visitation will be Friday, July 27, 2018 from 12-2:00PM with a funeral service at 2:00PM all at Ballard-Sunder Funeral Home, 833 S. Marschall Rd., Shakopee. She will be laid to rest at Shakopee Catholic Cemetery.
On May 19, 1954, Deborah Jean McKee was born in Oklahoma. She was raised in Irving, Texas along with her sisters, Lori and Lisa. From a young age, Debbie loved to socialize. She had a big personality, great sense of humor, and was full of life!
Debbie’s life was enriched by being a mother to her children, Krissy and Chad. Her life was truly blessed when she married Bobbie Richardson. For over 30 years, they had a strong relationship founded on their shared faith. They enjoyed playing music together at different churches—Debbie was a talented pianist.
In the early 2000’s, Debbie and Bobbie moved to Minnesota. She enjoyed the wintertime, especially making snow angels and going to Buck Hill to snow tube with her sister’s family. Often, she would watch the weather channel to see when the next snowfall would be. A huge fan of Christmas, Debbie would go all-out with decorating and wearing themed clothing and accessories. When she enjoyed something, she put her heart and soul into it.
Whenever an opportunity presented itself, she loved to tell people about Jesus! Even if that discussion was with her own family, Debbie let people know that Jesus was working in their life, filling it with grace and love.
In her last days, her family gathered together and after having a prayer service at her bedside, Debbie passed away peacefully. She is loved and missed by her husband, Bobbie Richardson; children, Krissy (Mark) Parker and Chad (Karen) Brinson; grandchildren, Noah McClanahan, Gabe McClanahan, Phillip Brinson, Jacob Brinson, Jaden Parker, Chase Cockrell; siblings, Lisa (Mitch) Jones, Lori Kendall, Robert “Bobby” McKee, Lyndy McKee; other relatives and friends.
Debbie is greeted in Heaven by her father, Robert McKee.
