Dominick Kenneth Dahmen

Dominick Kenneth Dahmen was a young musician, who had already left a huge mark in the music world, just like his father, Dale. On Wednesday, February 1, 2023, Dominick was sadly and unexpectedly taken from his family, at the age of 25, along with his father.

A celebration of life will be held honoring Dominick and Dale, on Sunday, February 19, 2023, from 1-6 pm, with a prayer service at 2 pm, at the Medina Entertainment Center, 500 Highway 55, Medina, MN.

Memorials are preferred to the family.

The proud parents of Dale and Sherry (Wagener) Dahmen were excited to announce the birth of Dominick Kenneth, on November 24, 1997, born in Waconia, MN. He soon became the big protective and supportive brother to Samuel. As brothers, they had a close relationship. Dominick and Sam hung out together every night, played together every weekend and were each other’s best friends. He attended St. Francis School through the eighth grade, then completed his education home schooled, graduating early from Buffalo High School, in 2015.

Dominick followed very closely in his father’s footsteps, with a passion for music. As soon as Dominick could hold drumsticks, he was banging on the drums. At the age of 11, he and Sam had their first gig on a parade float, in August of 2009. This was the first of many performances Dominick experienced with his brother and/or dad on the same stage. He also took his craft, filling in playing drums at Plus Dueling Piano Bar, in Raleigh NC. The best memories for the Dahmen family were playing music together.

Dominick had an amazing character. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Dominick was constantly learning and loved to research topics or things to expand his wealth of knowledge. Dominick was very focused, when working on something. This concentration skill also came through when he played board games, video games, Cornhole, Bocce Ball, or any other activity, for Dominick wanted to be the best. His competitive spirit would rise to the top on these occasions. In his free time, Dominick loved attending concerts, and had a special interest in classic cars and motors.

Life was just being for Dominick. He had so much more to give the world. Dominick will always be remembered for his caring and compassionate soul, who had a deep dedication towards family, friends, and the music world.

Dominick will remain in those that loved him the most, his mother, Sherry; brother, Sam Dahmen; grandparents, Ken and Jan Dahmen, Ken and Toots Wagener; aunts and uncles, Dean (Ali) Dahmen, Denise (Jeff) Lowe, Kelly Wagener, Jonie Wagener, Kevin (Lori) Wagener, Shawn Wagener; cousins, Daniel Dahmen, Derek Dahmen, Donny Dahmen, Avery Lowe, Dawson Lowe, Tyler Wagener, Josh Wagener; other relatives and friends.

Dominick and Dale walked towards Heaven together and greeting them were Dominick’s great grandparents.
