Born in Winona, MN, Donna's life was marked by dedication, compassion, and a steadfast commitment to her family and community. Baptized at St. Martin Lutheran Church, she attended St. Martin's School from kindergarten through 9th grade before graduating from Winona Senior High School in 1956. That same year, on November 10th, she married the love of her life, Ron Harcey.

Donna's life was a tapestry of cherished moments and selfless acts. She and Ron traveled extensively, visiting Hawaii, Jamaica, Rome, Venice, Florence, Arizona, Colorado, Texas, Iowa, Nebraska, Montana, and Wyoming. Their camping trips to McCarthy Beach State Park in Minnesota created treasured memories for their children, who began camping with the family as early as six months old. Later, they enjoyed 13 years of retirement at their home on Fish Trap Lake in Cushing, MN, where they relished the company of friends and family. She particularly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, playing cards and games like “Kings in the Corner”.

Donna had a successful career, working as a self-employed housekeeper for 18 years before becoming a kitchen cook at St. Francis in Shakopee, MN, and later a bakery assistant at Juba's Bakery. Eventually, she retired from Cub Foods.

Donna’s volunteer work was a testament to her generous spirit, including over 45 years as a bookkeeper for Mobile Meals in Shakopee. Donna was also deeply involved in her church, assisting with funeral services, cooking congregational dinners, and creating recycled cards with the Shakopee Senior group. As a member of the VFW Auxiliary, she worked tirelessly on various projects alongside the American Legion. Donna was very proud to live a life of service.

In her later years, Donna resided at All Saints, where she continued to touch lives by creating birthday cards for residents, serving on the residents' board, and enjoying activities such as playing bingo, gardening, and watching Minnesota Twins baseball.

Donna is loved and will be missed by her children, Paul (Kayla) Harcey, Perry (Franny) Harcey, Mike (Barb) Harcey, Ronda (Bill) Marshall, and Jon (Andrea) Harcey; grandchildren, Todd, Curt, Eric, Dylan (Ana Bougie), Hazel, Blayne, Sela (Nicco Salvador), Kayla (Colton Daws), Katie (Bryson Metzger), Peter, Heather, Aurora, Lorelei, and Fiona; great-grandchildren, RaeAnn, Brady, and Leena Rose; her sisters, Mary (Bill) Schultz, Bonnie (Terry) McKown and sister-inlaw, Kathe Armstrong

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ron Harcey; mother, Ruth Armstrong; brother, Ron Armstrong; and great-granddaughter, Alena Harcey.

Special thanks go to the staff at All Saints and the Lifespark Hospice care team for their compassionate care.

A true peacemaker, Donna Harcey's life was a beautiful example of love, kindness, and service. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
