On September 21, 1962, George was born to parents, Joe and Betsy (Bennett) Glaccum in Oceanside, New York. He was the middle of three boys to be raised in Excelsior, MN. From a young age, George had an analytic mind; he loved to tinker on dirt bikes, go-carts, or anything with a motor. His talent as a mechanic came naturally.

Following his education at Minnetonka High School, George began working as a mechanic at several venues and ending up as the owner of Towns Edge Fleet Services. Outside of work, George could be found fixing things for his family or friends. While George believed strongly in getting a job done, he often had his own way of doing it.

George’s life was truly blessed by his sons, Cory and Garrett. They shared many interests from boating, fishing, riding dirt bikes, and generally just being outdoors. The family spent countless hours together at various local parks and lakes.

As a man of faith, George viewed life’s tougher situations as an opportunity rather than a problem.

After experiencing a heart attack resulting from other health issues, George passed away, yet his tenacity, fierce independence, and perseverance will always be remembered by his sons, Cory Glaccum and Garrett Glaccum; father, Joe Glaccum; mother, Betsy Glaccum; brothers, Joe (Peggy) Glaccum and Mike (Leah) Glaccum; countless relatives and devoted friends.

George is greeted in Heaven by his loving Grandparents Oma, Gertrude Glaccum; Pa, George Bennett; Ma, Elizabeth Bennett.
