Harrison Roger Blonigen received his Heavenly wings on Sunday, June 25, 2023, one day before his fifth birthday.

A visitation for Harrison will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023, from 4-7 pm, at Ballard-Sunder Funeral & Cremation, 104 West First Street, Jordan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 30, 2023, with visitation time prior from 9:30-11am at St Patrick Catholic Church, 24425 Old Highway Blvd, Jordan. Father Michael Miller will preside. He will be laid to rest at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery.

Harrison was born on June 26, 2018 in Northfield, MN, and immediately became the favorite playmate of his older brother Barrett. The two were inseparable, and Harrison’s parents Brian & Meghan Blonigen could not have been happier. Just a short 18 months later, a 3 rd baby boy was born, as Hendrick joined the family. For 27 months the boys laughed, played, quarreled, and fought with each other as boys do, but on March 11, 2022 they were instantly unified as the “Big Bro Protection Co” with the birth of their baby sister, Brooklyn Marie Blonigen. Harrison and his brothers love their little sister so very much.

Harrison was the spunky and energetic spitfire in the family. He woke up early every day, raring to go and tackle whatever came his way. No amount of activity could slow him down, not even hockey practice, baseball practice, and driveway sports all in the same day. He would sneak limitless snacks from the cupboard, but also always would have room to devour Dad’s venison at mealtimes to keep his energy up.

Harrison joined the New Prague Hockey Association as a Mite in the Fall of 2022, and was instantly hooked. Within 5 minutes of the first practice, he was already a better skater than his Dad. He was mentally tough, handled every fall with a fierce determination to get back up, and had the perfect hockey player mentality. Meghan quickly became the best “Hockey Mom” imaginable, sporting Cardinal red, black, and white Trojan apparel, wearing hockey jewelry with Harrison’s name and number, and chauffeuring Harrison to wherever he needed to go to put that enormous hockey player smile on his face. His coaches, teammates, and fans all fell in love with him, his enthusiasm, and his joy that he always brought to the ice.

Harrison loved his family, especially playing with all his cousins. He was passionate about the outdoors, from helping plant, pull weeds, and collect bugs in the garden, to exploring Grandpa’s farm, to swimming, boating, and fishing at Grandma’s lake place, to anything and everything animal, insect, and dinosaur related. He also loved his many pets, especially the recent kitten additions of Lola and Princess Peach. He had a way with animals, and they all loved him back. He would help take care of the dogs (Tuck, Leo and Copper), and always helped with the chickens and stayed up late wanting to help collect eggs. He loved his daycare friends and provider, Ms. Karen, where he learned how to read, do math, and be a good friend and human being. He was the sweetest, handsomest, smartest, most-caring curly blond haired, blue-eyed kid you could ever imagine, and he will never, ever be forgotten.

Harrison will forever be missed and loved by parents; Brian and Meghan; siblings, Barrett, Hendrick, Brooklyn; grandparents, Roger and Sharon Blonigen, MaryJo (Trent) Johnson; God Parents, Nicholas and Logan Eilers; uncles and aunts, Michael (Nicole) Eilers, Mike (Sarah) Blonigen; cousins, Declan, Paxton, Ender; many other relatives and friends.

Greeting Harrison home in eternal peace is his grandpa, Jeffrey Eilers.
