Heidi Ann Noel Hahn, age 54, passed away peacefully on December 8th,2024 in her home with her husband and cats by her side.
Heidi was born in Burnsville, MN to Dean and Barbara Hahn. The last of six children, she was always known to the family as “The Baby” of the family.
Being an animal lover from a very young age, she was drawn to horses and started riding. She enjoyed spending many hours riding miles through the beautiful Minnesota’s park trails. Growing up she would show her horses and riding skills in competitions. However, to Heidi, nothing could beat trail riding. She felt one with nature.
There were many fond memories of spending time with her family as a child, including visiting her grandparents’ farm in Owatonna and taking vacations together. They visited California, Hawaii, Colorado and Washington DC.
Heidi attended Burnsville High School and received her GED at the age of 17. Her childhood love to travel motivated her to attend McConnell Travel School, graduate and work in the industry. She was able to explore places like New York, California, Seattle, Florida, Cancun, Colorado, Bermuda and many more.
As Heidi became an adult and her family grew, the love for her family was apparent. She embraced spending holidays and birthday celebrations together. She was so proud of her nieces and nephews and enjoyed attending their important events.
Heidi and John met in the early 1990’s and they realized quickly they were true soul mates. They were married on November 12th, 2013. They decided to build a home together in Webster, MN where they could enjoy the expanse of nature the twenty-acre property provided, including abundant wildlife and postcard views. They resided here for more than two decades. She was a loving and supportive wife who enjoyed making incredible homecooked meals.
The many animals she had over the years inspired her to pursue something that filled her heart with joy. Through social media and animal rescue organizations she immersed herself in finding homes for hundreds of unwanted, abused and abandoned cats and kittens who desperately needed loving homes.
Heidi is survived by her loving husband John Garberg; Siblings, James Hahn (Lori), LuAnn Hahn, DeAnn Anderson (Doug), John Hahn (Lynda) and Alyson Ann Hahn; Nieces and Nephews, Justin Hahn (Marette), Derek Hahn (Cara Richardson), Rylee Rae, Rachael Hahn, Jayden Hahn; Great Niece and Nephew, Avery Rose and Beau; Extended Family, Rodney Huber (Laura), Nolan Huber, Nixon Huber and Niles Huber.

Heidi brought so much laughter, compassion and love to many people she met throughout her life. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
All people die, but not all people live. Heidi lived.
