During Jack’s 71 years he personified integrity, humility, and kindness, living out these virtues through his actions. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a nurturing grandfather, supportive uncle and a caring brother.
Jack worked in the telecommunications industry, specializing in the installation of telephone and data communications for small businesses. In 1995, he took ownership of Cities Communications. Fondly known as “Phone Jack” by his clientele, he garnered affectionate referrals whenever they reached out for his assistance. Together with Cindy, he served as a newspaper carrier for the Minneapolis Star & Tribune from 1989 until 2023. Jack’s unwavering dedication to customer satisfaction earned him the prestigious title of “Premier Carrier of the Quarter” from the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
Since childhood, Jack harbored a passion for “N” gauge model trains. He was an enthusiastic reader, enjoyed history, and took delight in all things related to Disney, including theme parks, books, and architecture. Jack also cherished times with his daughter and her family. Whether it was gathering the family together for a cruise, taking a behind-the-scenes tour or laughing over a new pair of Disney slippers, Jack loved making memories with Jennifer, Ryan, and Leiyah Joy.
However, the true pleasure of Jack’s existence was time spent with the love of his life, Cindy. Rarely apart, they shared 43 years together and created an ever-enduring bond founded in their faith. Following a long struggle with squamous cell carcinoma head and neck cancer, Jack left this world to be with God and to wait for his forever soul mate Cindy. Plans are being made for a “celebration of life” at a future date to be announced. His remains underwent water cremation.
