James “Jim” Berg
A resident of Prior Lake, James Gordon Berg, age 60, passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack early Friday afternoon, February 21, 2014, at St. Francis Regional Medical Center, in Shakopee, MN. The Prayer and Remembrance Service will be on Saturday, March 1 at 3:30 pm, with the visitation starting at 1 pm, all at Ballard-Sunder Funeral Home 4565 Pleasant Street SE, Prior Lake. Life Tribute Specialist will be Jean Breeggemann.
On March 8, 1953, in Minneapolis, MN, Jim was born to parents Gordon and Muriel (Martinson) Berg. He married Debra Haas on June 21, 1986 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, in South Minneapolis, MN. They were blessed with two daughters, Christy and Cassie. For over 30 years, Jim was an Applications Engineer for Rockwell Automation.
Deeply missed and remembered always by those who loved Jim, wife, Debbie; daughters, Christy Berg and Cassie Berg; mother, Muriel Berg of Inver Grove Heights; siblings, Richard (Shari) Berg of Eagan, Tom (Lois) Berg of Hinckley, Steve (Kathy) Berg of Eden Prairie, Kathy (Rick) Paulson of Austin, TX, Gary (Moon) Berg of Lonsdale, Ron (Sandra) Berg of Norcross, GA, Bryan (Betsy) Berg of Plymouth, Mike Berg of Otsego; sister-in-law, Becky (Ken) Jilk of Prior Lake; a lot of nieces and nephews, other relatives and devoted friends.
Jim is preceded in death by father, Gordon Berg and parents-in-law, Florian and Marion Haas.
