John “Brownie” Braunshausen

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, John, who left this world on July 31, 2023. He was a dedicated father of three, a cherished grandfather of seven, and a committed employee of John Deere for an impressive 30+ years. His love for his work was unmatched, and it brought him immense joy throughout his life.

John was not just a salesman; he was a loving, big-hearted individual who had an incredible ability to draw people in. His genuine kindness and selflessness were evident in everything he did. Whether it was
lending a helping hand to a friend in need or going the extra mile for his family, he would always put others before himself. His unwavering dedication to his loved ones was a testament to the incredible person he was.

From taking pristine care of his indoor plants, to selling meat raffle tickets, to cheering on his favorite sports teams, John always found joy in the simple pleasures of life.

As we bid farewell to our beloved father, we take solace in knowing that his legacy will live on through the lives he touched. His unconditional love, unwavering support, and genuine kindness will forever be etched in our hearts.

John is survived by his loving children, Eric (Mai) Braunshausen, Alan (Lacey) Braunshausen, and Kelly (Luke) Meyers; his adored grandchildren, Ethan, Emma, Naomi, Adler, Lynley, Griffin, and Arlo; girlfriend Janel Kes; five brothers and three sisters; and a vast network of friends and extended family who will miss him dearly. He was predeceased by his parents, Galen & Patricia Braunshausen, and sister Ann Braunshausen. May he find eternal peace and rest in the embrace of our loving memories.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 from 3:00-6:00 PM at Ballard-Sunder Funeral & Cremation (4565 Pleasant St.) in Prior Lake, MN.
