Joseph Thomas Newman, age 90, of Jordan, MN, entered eternal life on Monday, May 24, 2021, at St. Francis Regional Medical Center, in Shakopee, MN.
A public visitation will be held on Friday, June 4 from 9-10am, at Ballard-Sunder Funeral and Cremation, West First Street, Jordan, MN. A private family funeral liturgy will be held at 10 am. Father George Grafsky will preside. The Jordan Vets Honor Guard will be providing military honors. Joseph will be laid to rest at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
Joseph was born on March 21, 1931, in Little Fork Township, MN to George and Margaret (Tilton) Newman. After graduating from high school, he proudly served in the United States Marine Corp. Joseph married Jean Helen Gosselin and were blessed with children. He entered the workforce and spent most of his career at Certainteed, Inc. in Shakopee, MN.
Forever loved and missed by wife, Jean; children, Patricia (William) Perkins, Joseph Newman, Tim (Janet) Newman, Deanna (Mark) Amundson; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Greeting Joseph home are his daughters, Marie, Kelly; grandson, Andrew; parents; many brothers and sisters.
