Joshua Taze was born on January 30, 1974, in Calcutta, India. At the age of 4, he was adopted, into the Feldten family. The fourth of five children, Josh grew up having the time of his life on the family farm in Jordan, MN. He spent countless hours playing in the barn, exploring the yard with his friend Bucky Boy (the pet ram) and especially just being outside. As a teenager, the Feldten family moved to Prior Lake. Josh continued enjoying the outdoors and all that it had to offer. His Junior and Senior year of high school, Josh attended Dakota County Vo-Tech, focusing on Heavy Duty Mechanics. He graduated from Prior Lake High School in 1992.

Josh had a dream of becoming a CDL Driver and traveling the states seeing the countryside. However, life directed him in another direction. Josh worked various jobs as a laborer. He loved the physical work, building homes, roofing, working in a concrete plant and as a service runner for Park Jeep. The last years, Josh work hard in lawn care and snow removal services. It didn’t matter the path, he would say, “Just keep truckin. “

Through conventions and gatherings at the kingdom hall, Josh met Holly Fifarek. Eventually, they started hanging out, dating and rest became history. On March 19, 1994, Josh and Holly were married, in Minnetonka, MN. They were blessed with two children, Shania and Marcus. The family first lived in Bloomington, MN, before moving to Apple Valley, MN, in 1999. Josh was a proud dad. He loved spending time with the kids, taking them to the zoo, parks, and the simple things in life like reading books together.

Josh relished being outdoors and being surrounded by family and friends. He spent time building ramps and jumps for Shania, Marcus, and the neighborhood kids to enjoy with their bikes and skateboards. Josh was dad to all the kids in the neighborhood. Rain or shine, Josh enjoyed grilling and bonfires with his best friend, Brad. He too liked the quietness of the day sitting on the beach, enjoying a beer, and fishing. Even if he did not catch anything. Josh loved feeling the sun on his skin and was often seen walking around town.

Josh loved cooking and eating spicy food. He could eat Habanero peppers, like candy! Josh especially loved watching PBR (Professional Bull Riding) on TV or in the stands when the rodeo would come to town. He enjoyed planting flowers around the home and taking a moment to smell their fragrance, as he passed by them in the store. Josh loved old school country music, especially George Strait, with Pure Country being his favorite movie. He also loved the companionship of the family dogs, notably his last years with Toby.

Josh was a family man. He was generous, hardworking, and selfless. Josh was loving, at times a bit crazy but his laugh and smile lite up any room. He was loved by many and will be missed immensely. Josh will be remembered by wife, Holly; daughter, Shania; son, Marcus; parents, Robert and Joyce; siblings, Roshell (David) Kramer, Tana (Troy) Theisen, Dusty (Desirae) Feldten, Asha (Jon) Nouwen; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by grandparents, Doug Sandstrom, Bessie Melon, Virgil and Evelyn Feldten and uncle, Percy Feldten.
