Julie Lynn Selsvold was born on April 17, 1960 in Shakopee, MN to the parents Eugene and Mary (Cizinski) Selsvold. She was the oldest of three children. Julie’s childhood years were spent in Shakopee, where she later graduated from Shakopee High School.
Julie enjoyed working for Schwan’s. She especially appreciated her employer and her work associates during her illness as they gave her strength and support during this difficult period.
After Julie’s mother died, she formed a special relationship with her father. That bond became stronger, when he became ill and Julie became the primary caregiver, taking care of her father for three years.
She enjoyed taking her niece and nephews to many different events over the years which included the annual Dayton’s eighth floor Christmas show. They also did shopping, visited the zoo, attended the circus and enjoying everyone’s birthday parties.
At the age of 51 and a resident of Shakopee, Julie Lynn Selsvold entered God’s arms on the morning of Wednesday January 25, 2012 at Our Lady of Peace Home Hospice in St. Paul, MN.
Forever loved, Julie will be deeply missed by her father, Eugene Selsvold of Shakopee; sister, Jodie (Paul) Siegle of Carver; brother, John Selsvold of Shakopee; nephews, Anthony, Mark and Stephen Siegle; niece, Danielle Siegle; her puppy, Baby; many other loving relatives and friends.
Julie is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Selsvold and sister in law, Suzanne Walsh.
Julie’s urn bearer will be Anthony, Mark, Stephen and Danielle Siegle.
Visitation will be on Saturday February 25, 2012 from 9:30-11:00 a.m. with the Celebration of Life Service following at 11:00 a. m. all at Ballard-Sunder Funeral Home, 833 S. Marschall Road, Shakopee. Julie will be laid to rest at the Shakopee Catholic Cemetery, Shakopee.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Our Lady of Peace Home, 2076 St. Anthony Ave., St. Paul, MN 55104.
