On January 31, 1938 in Hibbing, MN, Juliann Katherine was born to parents Angelo and Cecilia (Petersanti) Vendetti. She was the third of four children growing up in Hibbing, with siblings Dolly, Roland and Michael. From a young child, Julie lived and enjoyed life to the fullest. She always had a smile on her face, enjoyed a good laugh and knew how to have fun! Julie spent many hours helping her mother run the family neighborhood market. She was also a proud graduate of the Hibbing High School.

After high school, Julie attended cosmetology school and met a dear friend. It was through this friend, Julie went to a wedding in Appleton, MN, where she met the love of her life, Walter Stock. They wasted no time dating and on January 31, 1959 were married, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Appleton, MN. Julie and Walter soon welcomed four children, Barry, Annette, Heidi and Terry. In 1960, they built a home and settled their roots in Prior Lake.

The Stock family enjoyed many summer vacations which consisted of traveling to Hibbing and Appleton visiting family. In 1972, Julie and Walter bought a home on Prior Lake where summers were spent enjoying life on the water. She enjoyed the life on the water and watching her family grow until August of 2015, when they moved to a senior living facility in Savage. Julie and Walter also were fortunate to enjoy a number of winters in Arizona.

A huge servant of the Lord, Julie loved volunteering at the St. Paul’s Church and School, especially in the school lunchroom, the LWML and funeral luncheons. She enjoyed painting ceramics for family and friends. Julie was an exceptional cook, baker and practical joker.

Julie spent most of her life being a wife, mother, grandma and great-grandma. For about 8 years, Julie worked in the Prior Lake High School kitchen and was known as the “ala carte lady” where she served mostly unhealthy treats! Julie also worked for Warner Hardware as an accounting clerk for several years. For over 15 years, she served her community with her husband who was the Prior Lake Mayor. Most of Julie’s career was spent cleaning houses and business, until she suffered a stroke.

The strokes set her back at times, but it was Julie’s determination, strength and perseverance, that couldn’t keep her down. Julie’s greatest enjoyment was socializing with everyone, going for walks and meeting new people along the way. She enjoyed people stopping by and serving them sweet treats. Julie’s greatest passion was her family and she always wanted to be part of their lives.

Julie will be forever loved and missed by husband, Walter; children, Barry (Lorna) Stock, Annette (David) Lind, Heidi Sager, Terry Stock; grandchildren, Ben (Traci) Stock, Jake Stock, Zach Stock, Paul Schmidt, Neal Schmidt, Audie Lind, Austin Lind, Amber Sager, Carley Sager, Taylor Sager: 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Michael Vendetti; many relatives and friends. There to welcome Julie home in heaven are parents, Angelo and Cecelia; sister, Virginia “Dolly” Oksanen and brother, Roland Vendetti.
