Kenneth “Ken” Endsley, of Savage, passed away February 25, 2021 at the age of 85. A funeral service will be help Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at 11:30 AM with visitation from 11:00 – 11:30 AM at Ballard-Sunder Funeral & Cremation (4565 Pleasant Street SE) in Prior Lake. Pastor Paul Olson will preside, and Ken will be laid to rest at Fort Snelling National Cemetery with full military honors.

Kenneth Gail Endsley, Jr. was born on March 26, 1935 to parents Kenneth & Helen (Johnson) Endsley. He loved growing up in Prior Lake and was a proud graduate of the class of 1953. Ken was a star athlete all throughout high school. He played football, basketball and baseball.

Following high school, Ken enlisted in the Unite States Air Force. He proudly served his country until his honorable discharge. Following his military career, Ken began working for Lowy Carpets. He spent nearly 40 years with the company before retiring. It was through his work that Ken met the love of his life, Darleen Kinikin. Just two months after they met, Ken & Darleen exchanged wedding vows on December 3, 1966 at Oliver Presbyterian Church in Minneapolis.

They settled in Savage and enjoyed 54 happy years of marriage. Over the years, Ken enjoyed running a local flea market and playing for a men’s softball league. Together, Ken & Darleen took many memorable trips; their favorite destination was Las Vegas.

After several months of declining health, Ken is now at peace. He will be remembered always by his loving wife, Darleen; his three daughters, Dianne Endsley, Gail & Karen; grandchildren; sister, Marcia Busse; many loving nieces & nephews; dear family friend, Keith Pyle; other loving relatives and friends.
