Larry Schneider, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great–grandfather, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2025 at the age of 87.
A time of gathering will be held on Monday, March 31, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Ballard-Sunder Funeral & Cremation (4565 Pleasant Street SE) in Prior Lake and on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, from 10:00-10:45 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, at 11:00 AM at St. Michael Catholic Church (16400 Duluth Avenue SE) in Prior Lake. Father Tom Walker will preside, and Larry will be laid to rest at St. Michael Catholic Cemetery.
Born in Foster Township, Faribault County, MN on March 3rd, 1938, he was a strong believer in family and his faith. He worked hard and played harder. He had a contagious laugh and a great sense of humor.
Larry graduated from Keister High School in 1955 and then moved to Chicago to attend school at The Devry Technical Institute. He served 6 years in the Marine Corps before beginning a career in computers with Univac Corp. Larry married the love of his life, Adrienne, on October 24, 1964. His last 25 years before retirement were spent as a software engineer at the Farmington, Minnesota Air Traffic Control Center as a contractor for Lockheed Corp.
Larry found joy in playing tennis, his grandchildren, playing cards, riding his motorcycle, going to Mexico and Hawaii, his beloved home in Fort Myers, Florida, and attending the Airshow in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. He was known for saying “Life is Good”.
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Adrienne; his 3 children, Greg (Angie) Schneider, Jeff (Jenny) Schneider, and Jennifer (Marc) Dean; 8 grandchildren, Kaila (Tim) Neubarth, John Schneider, Thomas (Caitlin) Schneider, Cassie (Darin) Gregory, Shelby (Malachi) Mlinar, Jane (David) Schneider, Madison Dean, and MacKenzie Dean; 8 great–grandchildren, Colton Hage, August Gregory, Lorelei Gregory, Ellis Gregory, Mabel Mlinar, Alice Mlinar, Gabe Schneider, and Elliott Schneider; and brother Glenn (Edith) Schneider. Larry is preceded in death by his parents, John and Evelyn Schneider; and his brother Dean Schneider.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred and will be distributed by the family to the VA hospice.
