Laurie Ann Theis, age 55, passed away peacefully in the presence of family, on Sunday morning, December 30, 2018, at her home in Jordan, MN, after a courageous fight with cancer.

On April 10, 1963 at St Francis Hospital, in Shakopee, MN, Laurie was born to parents Harold Paul and Adella Frances (Mechtel) Schmitt. The fifth of eight children growing up in New Prague, MN, where she graduated in 1981. Laurie married David Theis on September 6,1986, at St Patrick Catholic Church. They settled their roots in Jordan raising two precious children, Melissa and Curt. Laurie enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She loved to be outdoors, watching birds and woodworking.
Laurie was driven and dedicated to her family and friends. Now, here legacy and mission are left to be carried on by her beloved husband, Dave; children, Melissa (Durand Garcia) Theis, Curt Theis; siblings, Karen (Roger Howell) Wassather, Patricia Benson, Terri Lehman, Ken (Shelly Novak) Schmitt, Steve (Jennifer Clancy) Schmitt; other loving relatives and devoted friends.
There to welcome Laurie home are her parents, Harold and Adella; brothers, Ed Schmitt and Rick Schmitt.
