Leah Bernadette (Coleman) Lapierre, age 83 of Shakopee, passed away October 20, 2016 at Friendship Manor.
A visitation will be Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 9-11:00AM with a celebration of life service beginning at 11:00AM all at Ballard-Sunder Funeral Home, 833 South Marschall Road, Shakopee.
Burial will follow at St. Michael Catholic Cemetery, Prior Lake. Reverend Penny Zettler will preside. Pallbearers for Leah will be Rick Lemke, Daniel Peters, Joshua Lemke, Steve Curren, Anthony Curren, and John Moravec. Honorary pallbearers will be Maia Peters, Marisa Peters and Kylee Peters.
Leah is survived by her children, Mary Kathryn Largent, Michael David (Toppie) Cabaniss, LuAnne (Rick) Lemke, Leah Angela (Daryl) Russell; grandchildren, Melissa (Jason) Perry, Michelle (Ryan) Banahan, Chris (Emily) Cabaniss, Daniel (Kristen) Peters, Hannah Lemke, Joshua Lemke, Carl Newton, Scott Maxwell, Aileen O’Goley; eleven great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Coleman; sister, Margaret Dootsen; many other loving relatives and friends.
Leah is preceded in death by her husband, Roland Lapierre who passed away in 1993; sister, Anne FitzGibbon and parents, Charles and Leah Coleman.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family to be distributed to charities in memory of Leah.
