Lee Berg age 62 of Prior Lake passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2014.
Lee was born to Melvin and Violet Berg on February 24 ,1952, in Pelican Rapids, MN. He was twin to Leon, so Lee was not the baby of the family. There was waiting at home 2 older brothers Vern and Gene, and older sister Janice. The family had a farm in Ottertail County and their farm is now part of Maplewood State Park. The farm had been established by Grandfather Andrew Berg in 1880, immigrants from Sweden.
After graduating from Pelican Rapids high school, Lee attended the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities and he graduated from the University of Nebraska, at Omaha. He then entered the Air Force in 1975 and was based at Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha. He was a staff sergeant.
He made a career in sales which took him to California and back to Minnesota. In recent years he resided in Prior Lake with the love of his life, Kris.
He was preceded in death by wife Kris and sister Janice. He leaves behind 3 brothers, 2 nephews Cary and Sam, and niece Kris.
Visitation will be Sunday, NOVEMBER 23, 2014 from 1-2 pm at Ballard Sunder Funeral Home, 4565 Pleasant Street SE in Prior Lake with the celebration of life service to follow at 2:00 pm.
