Lester “Les” Bakken, 104, passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 8th, 2022 at Friendship Manor in Shakopee, MN.
Les was born on April 30th, 1917. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a business degree and went on to own and run a hardware store in the Camden neighborhood of Minneapolis for many years. He had a wonderful retirement in Texas and Minnesota. Les loved to golf, garden, boat, and spend time with his family.
Les is survived by his daughter Sally Lee, grandchildren Bruce Lee and Barbara Lee, and great grandchildren Spencer Lee and John “Jack” Wiese IV.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ida and Luther Bakken, his son Bruce Bakken, and his brothers Luther Bakken Jr, and Glenn Bakken.
