Liana Jane Jodsaas, age 59 of Kearny, AZ and Savage, MN, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2022. A visitation will be held from 9:30-11AM on Friday, May 13, 2022, with a Christian funeral beginning at 11AM at Immanuel Lutheran Church on Fish Lake, 20200 Fairlawn Avenue Prior Lake, MN. Liana will be laid to rest at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Brent Parrish presiding.
The baby of four children, Liana Jodsaas (Hedquist) was born May 20, 1962 in Crystal, MN. Liana settled in Savage, MN to raise her family and opened her day care, #1 in Fun Daycare, which she operated for over a decade. Liana worked tirelessly to provide for her family throughout her life. Her strong will and dedication has imprinted on all of her children.
Liana loved being a daycare provider, as it allowed her to spend the time with her own children that she craved for and be a mothering guide for others. Liana had a servant’s heart. She never hesitated to help others and wanted to provide children with a loving, safe environment.
In her free time, Liana enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing, and crafting. She was lovingly nicknamed ‘Sunshine’ by her friends and family because of her love for the outdoors. Liana moved to Arizona in 2008, where she soaked up as much sun as she could. However, she always considered Minnesota to be her true home.
Life wasn’t always easy for Liana, but she was strong willed and steadfast during difficult circumstances. She was an exceptional mom to more than just her own kids, and a loving grandma. Liana was firmly committed to her family, and she made sure they knew she loved them.
Liana will be missed deeply by her children, Leah (Jamy) Johnson, Jeremy (Stephanie) Mickelson, Dylan (Hannah) Jodsaas, Javilyn (Erica) Jodsaas, Roy (Allison) White; grandchildren, Jaylin Holton, Kedan Johnson, Kaden Mickelson, Madison Mickelson, Juliana Mickelson, Savannah Mickelson, Aria Jodsaas, Abigail Jodsaas, Everly Jodsaas; siblings, Doug and Debbie; niece, Hope Mullen; and other loving relatives and friends.
Liana is greeted in Heaven by her mother, Viola and her brother, Alan.
