A Time of Gathering will be held in Linda’s honor from 9-11AM on Monday, June 3rd, 2024, all at Ballard-Sunder Funeral & Cremation, 4565 Pleasant St. SE, Prior Lake. Linda will be laid to rest at St. Michael Catholic Cemetery following the gathering.
Linda was born on March 21, 1949 in Springfield, MN, to parents Clifford and Cleo Beermann. Linda was the middle child of 6 children. Her siblings, Bonnie, Sharon, Nancy, Dean, and Cindy grew up on a farm together with their parents in Lamberton, MN. They worked in the fields shucking corn and causing mischief between themselves. When Linda got older, she became involved in everything she could in school! She was often described as an overachiever, being in multiple clubs! Linda also enjoyed attending the local sock hops and street dances.
Linda graduated high school in 1967 and moved up to the Twin Cities shortly after. She attended beauty school and would never let her family forget she was licensed in 3 states! Shortly after completing beauty school, she found a different direction to go in to fit her lifestyle better. She became a flight attendant and continued this career for 40 years with Northwest Airlines!
In 1969, Linda met her future husband Charles, and they got married December 3, 1971, in South Dakota. They had 1 daughter, Misty, in June of 1972. They soon settled in the Prior Lake area. As a family, they enjoyed their time together going on trips to Canada, water skiing, and spending time on the lake. Linda and Charlie’s time together was cut short, an illness took her husband in 1983. Linda stayed strong for her daughter Misty, and they continued to support each other through their loss.
As time went on and Linda continued her career as a flight attendant, she met a pilot named Jim on one of her trips. Little did they know at the time, but they would spend the next 20 years together. They would go on dates to nice restaurants in the cities, fly to different countries together, and spent the later years of their lives together.
Linda’s life forever changed the day she became a grandma. Jayme was born in 1992 and she doted on her immensely! Every Monday when Jayme came around was her favorite. She loved taking Jayme on vacation, going shopping, and spoiling her rotten! When Linda’s great grandchildren, Judd and Jonah, were born, she was overjoyed. New life was breathed into her, and she continued to spoil her newest grandchildren. Being a gramma and great-granny was one of her biggest achievements.
When Linda got into her later years, this didn’t stop her from continuing her love for Elvis, makeup, and fashion. She was often described as very classy to all who knew her. She always dressed to the nines, never knowing who she might run into. She also loved spending time with her entire family up at the cabin on Sullivan Lake. Family was the most important thing to her.
Throughout Linda’s life, she experienced the hardship of loss. First with her husband, Charlie, her parents, Clifford and Cleo, then her beloved daughter Misty. She was incredibly strong and persevered through all of it. She always found a way to stay connected to all of them, looking for signs from above.
Her classy, generous, and loving nature will be forever remembered by her granddaughter, Jayme (T.C) Sebastian; great-grandsons, Judd and Jonah; sisters, Bonnie (Darlo) Kaehler, Sharon (Ed) Fisher, Nancy (Paul) Bartunek, and Cindy Stage; brother, Dean Beermann; step-granddaughter, Tyann Schaefer; step-great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Weston, and Wren; Godchildren; nieces; nephews; and many other loving relatives and friends.
Linda is greeted in Heaven by her husband, Charlie; daughter, Misty; life partner, Jim Sorensen; parents, Clifford and Cleo; sister-in-law, Tuda Beermann; and brother-in-law, Terry Stage.
