Linda Williams, of Prior Lake, passed away February 9, 2024 at the age of 74.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024 at 4:00 PM with a time of gathering from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at Ballard-Sunder Funeral & Cremation (4565 Pleasant St. SE) in Prior Lake. Pastor Joel Farber will preside.
On October 24, 1949, Linda Marie Jahner was born to parents, Gregory and Virginia (Frank) Jahner. She was the second of six children, and loved growing up in the Cottage Grove area with her siblings, Carol, Bonnie, Shirley, Mary and Greg.
After graduating from Park High School in Cottage Grove, Linda began working in the manufacturing industry. She was a factory worker her whole life and enjoyed the work she did at Brockway Glass and Crown Cork & Seal. Linda was a hard worker and made many dear friends through work.
As a young woman she married William Dillon. Although Linda and William went their separate ways, she was so grateful for her beautiful children, Stacy, Brenda and Richard. Linda became a mother again while married to Duane Kesti. Linda and Duane eventually separated but remained wonderful parents to their son, Jason.
It was at work that Linda met the love of her life, Dan Williams. Linda and Dan were married on Valentine’s Day in 1995. Their marriage was blessed with many happy years and wonderful memories with their children and grandchildren.
Throughout her life, Linda had many hobbies and interests. She was an avid gardener and loved every kind of flower. Linda was a skilled crocheter. She made many afghan blankets for family and friends over the years. Linda also enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing cards and talking with her dear friend, Cheryl.
Most of all, Linda loved her family and the Lord. Linda was a woman of strong faith. She lived her life with kindness, generosity and love. Linda passed these strong values onto her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved her family dearly and was so proud of all of them.
Linda will be missed deeply and remembered always by her loving husband, Dan Williams; children, Stacy (Keith) Horkey and Jason (Tanya) Kesti; Dan’s children, Mike (Julie) Williams, Tammy (Ron) Remme and Bob (Lori) Williams; son-in-law, Scott Huntingon; grandkids, Jamie (Wyatt), Mitch (Cindy), Brady, Mackenzie (Josh), Cody, Kayla, Dalton, Austin, Steven, Jay, Samantha, Rachel (Ethan), Jonathan, Hannah, Hailey and Lilly; great-grandkids, JR, Ariana, Aubrey, Colton, Owen, Ryder and Marley; sisters, Carol Axtman, Bonnie Bauer and Mary Kelly; other loving relatives and friends.
Linda was greeted in Heaven by her children, Brenda Huntington and Rick Dillon; great-grandkids, Bryson and Liam; parents, Greg & Virginia Jahner; siblings, Shirley Dimmick and Greg (Junior) Jahner.
