Age 18 of Prior Lake passed away on Tuesday, June 28th, 2022. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Maggie was a wonderful daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, and friend to all who knew her.
Maggie was born on August 29th, 2003 to Troy and Julie. She loved her family deeply and was a natural caregiver. That care extended not just to her family but to her friends, whom she loved fiercely. If she loved you, she had your back, no matter what. Most of her attention in recent years was reserved for her beloved cat, Shadow, who she showered with toys and love.
She was unwavering about the topics that mattered to her. She was a lively debater with siblings, friends, and parents. Her sharp wit and passion were something to behold.
She enjoyed playing card games with her family, to-do lists, going to the cabin, baking with her grandmothers, drawing, shopping, and adventuring with her friends.
Maggie will forever be missed by her mother, Julie (David) Scagell; father, Troy (Kim) Graupmann; siblings, Charlie Graupmann, Gavin Scagell, and Paige and Brock Schultz; aunts, Nikkole (Jake) Peterson and Erin Munson; uncle, Colin (Jake) Scagell; grandparents, Dave and Diane Heiss, Anne Scagell, and Joyce and Steve Munson; boyfriend, Ian; her cat, Shadow; and countless other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Allan and Karen Graupmann, and Martin Scagell.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Maggie’s name to the Animal Humane Society of Minnesota.
