Marie Rosan Marschall was born on February 20, 1928 in St. Bonifacius, MN, to the parents of Fred and Theresa (Dressen) Weinzierl. Growing up on the family farm, she attended school in St. Bonni and Mound. Moving to Shakopee in 1946, Marie later graduated from Shakopee Senior High.
Working at A.A. Kindon Millwork, Marie enjoyed her career spanning many decades. Marie waited to marry until later on in life. She encountered the love of her life, Harold “Harry” Marschall. On October 17, 1972, they exchanged wedding vows at the Church of St. Mark in Shakopee, MN. They settled down in a home, Harry had previously built in 1971 on some property of the Marschall family farm. They later built a home in Shakopee in 1998, which they truly cherished.
Together, they had extensive traveling to all of the 50 states, including Hawaii and Alaska, Canada, Mexico, Caribbean and Europe, seeing many beautiful scenes and interesting sights from the Netherlands to Italy. Marie especially enjoyed watching the Passion play and seeing the Alps and the Antiquity of Europe
In her spare time, Marie loved gardening, cooking and canning of the fruits of her labor. She also enjoyed sewing, cross-stitching, and playing cards. An active and life-long member of Church of St. Mark, Shakopee Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, Marie also volunteered for Meals on Wheels and the Church of St. Mark.
