Mark Milberger (Papa Milly), age 68, died Friday, January 6, 2023 at his home in Jordan.
Mark was a successful college football player (UMD ’77) and avid outdoorsman. He labored as a carpenter for most of his life, building houses, installing windows and cabinets, repairing siding, and plying the handyman’s trade.
Later in his life, Mark purchased the Teeny Weeny Donut business from his parents and brought mini donuts to fairs throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin. His struggle with alcoholism cost him his marriage and brought him into community with Lakers Alano where he worked hard to grow and change.
Mark loved to hunt and fish and take a joke too far. He delighted in his grandchildren and took pride in his service to the Special Olympics.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Milberger.
Mark is survived by his mother, Betty Lou Milberger; seven siblings; three children and five grandchildren.
