Mark Walter Williams, age 74, of Savage, MN, passed away peacefully in the presence of family on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at Fairview Southdale Hospital.
Liturgy of the word will be held at Noon on Friday, September 29, 2023 with a time of gathering honoring Mark from 11:00 AM – Noon, all at Ballard-Sunder Funeral & Cremation, 4565 Pleasant St. SE, Prior Lake, MN 55372. Private family interment will be held at Credit River Catholic Cemetery, Credit River Township.
Mark was born on October 8th, 1948. William L. Williams and Edith (Youngstrand) Williams lovingly welcomed him into their family in April of 1949 and lived in Lakeville, MN where he grew up and attended school.
He married his wife, Jennifer, on July 16th, 1994. They were pen-pals for 10 months while she was living in the Philippines and they finally met in September of 1993.
During his lifetime, he worked several jobs. He worked as a mechanic at Metro Transit for a little over 36 years. He proudly retired on July 30th, 2010. He lived a very fulfilling life and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, who held a very special place in his heart. He loved being a Papa and they gave him so much happiness in his life. Mark had a passion for music and fixing computers. He always loved helping others – whether that was fixing things, offering a hand or a listening ear, driving to and from – he was always there and willing to help. He also enjoyed his free time riding his bike around the park.
Mark will be forever missed and loved by his wife, Jennifer Williams; children, James Purcell, Christine (Robbie Hunter), William, and Caroline; 3 granddaughters, Skylar, Rylee, and Parker; and many close friends.
He will be joining his parents, Edith and William in heaven.
