Mary B. Wendt, age 58, of Prior Lake, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2023.
Mary was born on November 20, 1964, to Delores and Stanley (Eckman, Gorshe).
Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, June 9th, 2023 at Ballard-Sunder Funeral & Cremation, 4565 Pleasant Street SE, Prior Lake, Minnesota. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 PM prior to services.
With an early fascination for computer programming, Mary left high school to attend Brown Institute where she earned her computer programming certification and enjoyed a long career in computers as a system analyst for Northwest Airlines, Morgan Stanley, and recently UnitedHealth.
Mary was a dear sister, loyal friend, loving mother, and grandmother. She had a big heart and would put other people’s needs before her own. In recent years Mary dedicated much of her time giving love and guidance to her granddaughter, Penelope. She enjoyed spending time with family, cooking, and relaxing at her house on Spring Lake in Prior Lake, Minnesota.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Ashley Gauthier (Tim) and Madeline Wendt; granddaughters, Callie and Penelope; companion and friend, George; siblings, Craig Gorshe (Ginger), Lori Gorshe (Dan), and Carol Gorshe; nieces and nephews, Tina (Rob), Bridget, Michael, Angela, Kayla, Olivia, Alexis (Brandon), Kelsey (Chad), and many other loving relatives and friends.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Delores Schutt (Eckman) and Stanley Gorshe; and stepfather, Arne Schutt.
