A resident of Prior Lake, Mary Lutz, age 84, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at Keystone Communities Prior Lake, MN
The family will greet guests on Thursday, June 16, from 4-7 pm at Ballard-Sunder Funeral and Cremation, 4565 Pleasant Street SE, Prior Lake and one hour prior to the Celebration of Life Service on Friday, June 17 at 11 am, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church 5634 Luther Road, SE, Prior Lake. Pastor John Stern and Pastor Bernie Lutz will lead the service. Mary’s grandchildren will act as urn bearers. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials are preferred and will be distributed in Mary’s memorial by the family.
Mary was born on May 24, 1932 in Elk River, MN, to parents Francis and Agnes (Thomas) Marek. She married Theodore John Lutz on May 4, 1953. They were blessed with five sons, John, Mark, Ron, Mike and Tom.
Mary is loved and will be forever missed by her five sons: John (Laura) Lutz, Mark Lutz, Ron (Cathy) Lutz, Mike (Lora Lee) Lutz, and Tom (Jeanne) Lutz; niece & honorary daughter, Cindy (John) Kost; grandchildren, Christina (Josh) Brown, Casey, Lani Lee (Tyler) Giles and long awaited first great-grandchild baby Giles, Alee (John) Jablonsky, Kaarin (fiance’: Anthony Howard), Zac (fiancée: Rebecca Ebsen), Molli, Billy, Hannah; brothers: George (Sharon) Marek, Francis (Lois) Marek, sisters-in-law: Shirley Marek and Harriet Marek; many nieces & nephews
She is preceded in death by her parents: Frank & Agnes Marek; husband: John; brothers: John Marek and Joe Marek; sisters: Margaret Zirbes and Theresa Gitzen; niece & honorary daughter Linda (Steve) Wild.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Debra Rustad & Brita Schwartz of Park Nicollet; the wonderful aides, Kristen Elwell, Betsy Wilson, Jody Ulibarri, Judy McMeekin and the rest of the staff at Keystone Senior Living; and Methodist Hospice for the wonderful, dignified care they provided her this last year of her life.
