Mavis Marie Mohr

Mavis Marie (Westphal) Mohr, age 81, of Prior Lake, MN, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025.

To fulfill Mavis’ wishes, a private family service will be held.

Mavis was born December 26, 1943, to Loarf and Hilda (Wolter) Westphal in Ortonville, MN. She was one of 11 children born in that family. Mavis was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Hancock, MN. She attended and graduated from Hancock Public School.

Mavis was married to Curtis Mohr and to this union two children were born, Wade, their son and Heidi, their daughter. Their married life included living in Prior Lake, where they raised the kids and she held various jobs, enjoying the days she worked and the friendships she made along the way. Mavis enjoyed playing softball (in her younger years), fishing when she could (and eating them) and meeting up with friends at the VFW. She enjoyed going to The Pointe Bar and Grill for her favorite Rueben Sandwich and Walleye Fingers.

Mavis is survived by her daughter Heidi; grandchildren, Jay, Samairah, Zach and Kennedy. Her sisters, Jean Carstens, Elaine Mohr, Marilyn (Kenny) Windholz and sister-in-law: Jeanne Westphal and the Mohr sisters-in-law, Marladene, Cindy, Jeri, Judy, Marlene, Anita, Kathy, along with many nieces and nephews.

Mavis was preceded in death by her son, Wade; parents; brothers, Arthur, James, Robert; sisters, Lauretta, Margaret, Helen, Ruth, and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
