Most of Michael’s childhood years were spent growing up in Olivia, MN. He enjoyed getting his allowance on Fridays, hopping on his bike to go buy special items and treats at the local establishments. As a family, they spent most weekends exploring and camping at just about every state park in Minnesota and South Dakota. They also enjoyed many trips visiting cousins in Pine River, MN. Attending grade school in Olivia, Michael’s dad was transferred to St, Cloud, where he attended school freshman through junior year. Transferred again, Michael graduated from Shakopee High School in 1971. Attending vo-tech for a few years, Michael spent over 25 years working for Gedney Pickle Factory in Chaska, MN. While throwing darts at the Jabberwocky Bar in Shakopee, Kathleen Faye Bossert had her eyes set on Michael. On March, 23, 1979 in Minneapolis, MN, they exchanged wedding vows. They settled down for a few years in Shakopee and later to New Prague, but spent over 25 years living in Jordan, MN. With a love for the outdoors, Michael enjoyed fishing, especially at Cedar Lake, O’Dowds Lake, Mille Lacs and Leech Lake. He also loved to deer hunt up north with his family. In Michael’s spare time, he enjoyed grabbing a hold of the handles of an A.T.V. and in the last year was excited learning to play the electric keyboard.
