Mike Geis was only 51 years young, when he passed away peacefully at his home in Hill City, MN, on Saturday, June 4, 2016.
A Mass of Christian Burial led by Father Timothy Yanta will be held on

, with a time of gathering starting at
9 a.m.
, all at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Jordan, MN. Mike will be laid to rest at St. John Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to family.
Michael Leon Geis was born on November 3, 1964 in New Prague, MN. He was the second of three children to parents Raymond “Bud” and LaVerne (Dorn) Geis. Mike was a 1983 Jordan High School graduate. He was a member of the Local Pipefitters Union #539. Mike enjoyed being involved in the MSRA (Minnesota Street Rod Association). He loved to fish, hunt and the companionship of his dog Ole. Mike’s pride and joy was spending time with his family.
Left to honor Mike’s life and mourn his death is his wife, Jayne; son, Andrew Geis; daughter, Emily Geis; granddaughter, Hannah; mother, LaVerne Geis; sister, Dawn (Paul) Tuttle; brother, Dan Geis; nieces, Jessica (Matt) Schaefer, Amy (Ryan) Hansen; great nieces, Lucy Schaefer, Paige Hansen; great nephew, Charlie Schaefer; many relatives and friends.
Mike was welcomed home in heaven by his father, Bud Geis; grandparents, Mack and Florence Dorn, and Raymond Sr. and Philomena Geis, and his faithful dog Ole.
