Morgan Rae Halvorson

Morgan Rae Halvorson, born March 21st 2017, died in her parents arms in the NICU at Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis, MN on March 23rd, 2017. Every person who met Morgan Rae was touched by her life, her beauty, and her strength.

Morgan was strong and feisty from the beginning, keeping her Mom and Dad on their toes from the first to the last of many ultrasounds, and other monitoring she received while being carried by her Mother. During Morgan’s time on this earth she loved to hold the hands of her loved ones, be read to and snuggled by her Mommy and Daddy, and to receive beautiful drawings from her sister. Morgan had a full head of dark hair, just like her Mommy, and the sweetest little nose that looks just like her Daddy’s.

Morgan is proceeded in death by her brother, Luke Hubert Halvorson, born with wings, 13 months to the day before Morgan, her maternal great-grandfather, Hubert Goracke, and paternal great-grandmother, Donna Halvorson.

She is survived by her parents, Chris and Molly Halvorson; sister Lucy; grandparents Mark and Randi Goracke and Rick and Deborah Halvorson; great grandparents Eileen Goracke, Dave and Mary Fearing, Dick Halvorson, and Dale and Barb Fredrickson; aunts and uncles Michelle Goracke, Chris and Megan Rosenberger, and Ben and Monica Halvorson; and cousins Max and Mason.

A visitation will be held on Saturday April 8, 2017 from 2-5 pm at Ballard Sunder Funeral & Cremation in Prior Lake, MN.

The family would like to thank all staff from St. Francis Regional Medical Center and Children’s Hospital Minnesota for the support that Morgan received. We cannot put into words how much your love, care, and compassion for our baby girl means to us. You provided Morgan a life of dignity and grace, and we are forever grateful.

There is no footprint too small that it cannot leave an imprint on this world.
