Born on January 25, 1938 in St. Paul, MN, Patricia Ann was the daughter of Wemer and Della (Friehl) Weber. She was the oldest of seven children. Patsy’s childhood years were spent in growing up in Credit River, with establishing her roots as an artist. A love for pencil drawing and sewing, she was even a talented baker. Patsy graduated from Prior Lake High School in 1956.
During her working career, she held various positions. Patsy’s career was spent as a seamstress, a housekeeping supervisor and with some additional years spent as a crossing guard. It was while she was a crossing guard; Patsy was discovered to appear in the movie, My Blue Heaven.
Finding the love of her life, Patsy married Wayne Dohney in September 1958 at the Church of St. Michael in Prior Lake. She was blessed with a beautiful daughter, Dawn. Together, Patsy and Wayne enjoyed flower gardening, traveling, fishing and their time spent in California. Life changed for her with the passing of Wayne in February of 2003.
All through her life Patsy had an artistic flare. She loved to sew dolls, teddy bears, clothing and pillows. Patsy even dabbled in oil painting. A kind and intelligent mother, grandmother and sister, who was easy going and light hearted.
A resident of Prior Lake, Patsy Doheny, age 74, passed away peacefully the afternoon of Friday, March 23, 2012 at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee, MN.
Forever loved, Patricia will be deeply missed by her daughter, Dawn Doheny of Prior Lake; grandchildren, Andrew and Rebecca Doheny; sisters, Mary Anne Counter of Prior Lake, Kathy Weber of Apple Valley; brothers, Jim (Barb) Weber of Prior Lake, Tom (Judy) Weber of Arizona, Joe (Carol) Weber of Prior Lake; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Weber of Arizona; many other loving relatives and devoted friends.
Patsy is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne, parents, Wemer and Della; brother, Bill Weber; brother-in-law, George Counter.
Pallbearers for Patsy will be Rick Cervenka, Tim Cervenka, Lisa Moberg, Kent Moberg, Mike Weber and Kara Puterbaugh.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, March 27 at 11 am, with visitation starting at 9:30 am all at Church of St. Michael 16311 Duluth Avenue SE, Prior Lake. Father Tom Sieg will officiate. Patsy will be laid to rest next to her husband at Oakwood Cemetery in Belle Plaine, MN.
