Patricia Ann Carlson, age 82, passed away peacefully at her home on Feb. 19, 2023. Surrounded by family and her loving husband of 40 years.
A Time of Gathering will take place on March 3, 2023 At Ballard Sunder Funeral Home in Shakopee, MN (833 Marschall Rd.) from 4-6pm with closing prayers starting at 6pm. Following the closing words, a luncheon will be held at the funeral home.
Pat was the youngest of three children born to Ray LeMiuex and Ruby Shore. She grew up in Prior Lake, MN along with her brother Ray and Sister Bonnie.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, building many memories at their cabin on Long Lake. The long boat rides over to Pee Rock allowed for many opportunities for good conversation and laughter. Dropping an anchor on the sand bar allowed for even more fun: swimming, tubing, and jet skiing.
Pat married Wayne McCutcheon on Sept. 12th, 1957. They had three children, Carrie, Kathy and David (“the favorite”). She was a loving, caring, stay at home mother who loved with her whole heart. As her kids aged she started working for Luger Boat company and worked there for several years before landing a job at Rosemount Incorporated in the Aerospace division, where she worked until she retired. During her employment at Rosemount she met and married her current husband Floyd Carlson. They were married on Oct. 7th,1983.
Pat enjoyed many activities including crocheting, oil painting, golfing, bowling, camping, and fishing. She also enjoyed a diet Pepsi and a good romance novel (Harlequin being one of her favorites). After her retirement she volunteered reading to kindergarten kids at the local elementary schools, and she learned to appreciate a good game of bingo.
Pat didn’t enjoy flying, so many of their trips were over the road. Trips to Canada fishing with her brother Ray and his wife Patty and winter trips to Brownsville, Texas where she and Floyd would spend several months escaping from Minnesota’s harsh winters.
She enjoyed the simple things in life, time with family and friends, She was very proud to be called Grandma by 11 Grandkids, and Great grandma by 13.
She is survived by her loving husband, Floyd Carlson; children, Carrie (Tim) Boys, Kathy (Brian) Sandberg, and David (Christy) McCutcheon; step daughter Deb (Curt) Lembeck; step son Doug Carlson and many Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren
She is preceded in death by her parents: Ray and Ruby LeMiuex, brother Ray LeMiuex Jr. And sister Bonnie Foucault.
