Pat grew up in St. Paul where she attended St. Agnes Grade School and Wilson High School. She was a princess at the 1950 Winter Carnival, where she rode atop the winning two-story float, the “Wynken, Blynken and Nod.” She worked as a receptionist and secretary for Gray Construction Company in Houston, Texas, where she lived for many years, though she frequently came home for visits with her family. A highlight of Pat’s life was a trip with her mother to visit relatives in Holland. She was known for her quick wit, dry humor, and her love of crossword puzzles. Pat was very fond of cats and had one as a companion for most of her life. She enjoyed watching football, going out with friends, and had a special fondness for St. Patrick’s Day, which she often celebrated with her dad. In 1991 she moved back to Minnesota to care for her ailing father.
Pat will be greatly missed by her siblings, Thomas (Maureen) Fitzpatrick, Catherine (Eugene) Simpkins, Michael (Susan) Fitzpatrick; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by parents, Thomas and Isabel Fitzpatrick.
