Paul Michael Westveer

Paul Michael Westveer, 79, of Shakopee, entered eternal life on October 17th, 2024, surrounded by family.

Paul was born in Minneapolis, MN on October 28th, 1944, the son of Vernon Paul Westveer and Anne Marie (Tuite) Westveer. He attended Burnsville High School where he graduated in 1962 and went on to serve in the army reserve for 7 years. After the army he attended a trade school where he became a master plumber. He was part owner of S&W plumbing in Shakopee and worked for McDermitt plumbing in Burnsville.

Paul met his wife Barbara as a teen and soon got married on June 19th, 1965. They made their home in Shakopee, MN where they had their children and became foster parents in Scott County for 16 years. 

He served on the board as the supervisor for the Jackson Township in Shakopee, MN. He also became the president of APAC (All park alliance for change). In his free time, he loved going to the shooting range, hunting and spending time with family. He will by truly missed by all that knew him. 

He is survived by his wife of 59 years Barbara Jean (Lane) Westveer; his children, John (Daria) Westveer, Ruth (Steve) Westveer, Nicole (Brian) Westveer; grandchildren, Paul (Desi) Westveer, Dean Westveer, Tiffany (Toney) Lusignan, David Caulfield, Anna Geyen, and Elaina Westveer; great grandchildren, Wyatt, Jace, Ava Lusignan; sisters, Judy Reed, Jeanne Bogue, Theresa Raine, and other loving relatives and friends and his cat Cora. 

He is Preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Anne Westveer; his son James Joseph Westveer; and brother David Westveer.
