Philip R. Christianson
Celebration of Life Service for Philip R. Christianson will be Monday, July 28 at 6:00 pm with visitation starting at 4:00 pm, all at Immanuel Lutheran Church on Fish Lake, 20200 Fairlawn Avenue, Prior Lake. Interment will be at Immanuel Lutheran on Fish Lake Cemetery, Prior Lake. Reverend Brent Parrish will preside.
Philip was born on April 30, 1944 to parents Mikal and Blanche (Hage) Christianson. He was united in marriage to Sharon Mathews on April 7, 1967 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Prior Lake.
Philip enjoyed traveling with his family in their motorhome through the western United States and into Canada. They also raised and showed appaloosa horses and spent time snowmobiling as they were former members of the Prior Lake Snowmobile Association. Philip also spent countless hours attending auctions, garages sales and was an avid gun collector.
On the morning of July 24, 2014, Philip died at his residence in Jordan. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Christianson; son, Matthew (Jacquilyn) Christianson of Phoenix, AZ; sister in law, Mona (Al) Snell of Prior Lake; and many loving relatives and friends.
Philip is preceded in death by his parents, Mikal and Blanche (Hage) Christianson; brother, Gary Christianson.
