Philip, age 59, died peacefully on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Fairview Southdale Hospital, Edina, MN.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, November 13, 2017 at 11:00 AM with visitation from 9:30 – 10:45 AM at Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church in Prior Lake. Pastor Rebecca Gamble will preside and military honors will be provided by the Prior Lake Honor Guard. Phil will be laid to rest at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Phil was born in Rice Lake, WI on October 1, 1958. He grew up in Winter, WI until he was 9. His family then relocated to Arizona and New Mexico, where he graduated from Grants, New Mexico High School in 1976. Philip served his country in the US Army from 1978-1989. He was a parachutist, expert marksman, combat medic, and a member of the elite Special Forces “Green Berets”. His final assignment was in Germany. He was discharged honorably after the fall of the Berlin Wall, and the end of the Cold War. After 10+ years of military service, Phil earned a BS of Electrical Engineering in 1995 from Montana State University. Phil has been employed as an Electrical Engineer with 3M Corporation for the past 23 years until his death. Phil was also an avid reader, and enjoyed a good debate over current affairs. He loved gardening, hunting, and being outdoors.
Phil was preceded in death by his father, Bradley Hall in 2015.
Phil is survived by his wife of 22 years, Debra Krisak, and sons, Stephen and Ryan, of Savage, MN. His mother, Geraldine Hall, of Deer Park, WA, and five siblings, James Hall, of Trinidad, CO; Susan (Joseph) Marincel of Flower Mound, TX; Theresa (Andrew) McHarney of Albuquerque, NM: Timothy (Regan) Hall of Centennial, CO; and Jonathan (Carmen) Hall of Hood River, OR. Phil is survived by Aunts, Uncles, 16 nieces & nephews, and 6 cousins.
Phil is also survived by his father and mother-in-law, Roger & Kathy Krisak, Superior, WI; brothers and-sisters-in-law, Jodi & Dave Anderson of Superior, WI; and Roger & Kris Krisak of Jordan, MN.
