Ralph R. Boeser, age 75 of Prior Lake, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at the Marie Steiner Hospice House. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, February 20, 2017 from 1:00-3:00PM with a Celebration of Life Service at 3:00PM, all at Ballard-Sunder Funeral Home, Prior Lake. Ralph will be laid to rest at St. Michael Catholic Cemetery.
Ralph was born on March 13, 1941 to parents Edwin and Hazel (Kelly) Boeser in Minneapolis. He spent his childhood in Bloomington. As an adult, Ralph worked as a business administrator for the Painters Union in Minneapolis. On February 20, 1965, Ralph exchanged wedding vows with Carol Yohn at Nativity of Mary Church in Bloomington. This union was blessed with four children.
Ralph was a wonderful father and grandfather. He loved taking his grandchildren fishing and boating. While he was friendly, Ralph’s children endured many embarrassing moments when he was too talkative with strangers. As a family, they relished vacationing. Ralph and Carol especially enjoyed traveling to Florida, where they eventually decided to winter in Fort Myers.
Ralph was a man who always needed a project, whether it was tinkering in the garage or fixing his boat. He loved wood working, fishing walleye up north, and occasionally smoking a good cigar. His love for life and charisma will be carried on by his children, Christine “Bucky” Boeser, Colleen (James) Christensen, Brian (Cheri) Boeser, Julie Boeser; grandchildren, Amy Christensen, Darrin Christensen, Taylor Boeser, Branden Anderson, Tanner Anderson, Conner Anderson; great-grandchild, Drayke, and his other loving family and friends. There to greet Ralph in heaven is his wife of 52 years, Carol Boeser; brother, Dennis Boeser, and parents, Richard and Hazel Boeser.
Ballard-Sunder Funeral & Cremation proudly cares for the Boeser family.
