At the very young age of 20, Becca Sukola, was taken from her family unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 13, 2015. She was a lifelong resident of Prior Lake, MN.
Becca will be honored with a Time of Gathering on Sunday, October 18, from 4-7pm at Ballard-Sunder Funeral and Cremation 833 South Marschall Road, Shakopee, MN. There will also be a Time of Gathering on Monday, October 19 from 9:30-10:40, just prior to the Celebration of Life Service at 11 am, both held at Friendship Church 12800 Marystown Road, Shakopee, MN. Pastor Mike Golay will preside. Pall bearers for Becca will be Danny Sukola, Kevin Sukola, Bob Reinbold, Joe Reinbold, Matt Reinbold, Paul Reinbold, Reed Reinbold and Donnie Middendorf. She will be laid to rest on Monday afternoon at Long Prairie Evergreen Cemetery, Long Prairie, MN.
On a cool April 1 afternoon in 1995 in Shakopee, MN, Charles “Chuck” and Connie (Reinbold) Sukola proudly announced the birth of Rebecca Paige and welcomed her into their loving arms. The middle daughter, she grew up with sisters Nicki and Abby in Prior Lake, MN. From the very moment of birth, Becca enjoyed life and lived every moment to the fullest. Each day was graced with her bubbly spirit and a beaming smile on her face. Becca had an amazing and energetic personality, which influenced and comforted people she encountered. Her feet never grew tried. Becca was always exploring and looking for the next adventure. She saw life’s treasures and beauty through her vibrant qualities.
It was this spirited personality of Becca that extended beyond herself. She had a great passion towards little kids. This gift of love towards them resonated as she was a life guard for Lifetime and through the children she worked with at Camp Kici yapi. Becca could walk into any room and instantly be surround by special pals. She relished working at an elementary after school program while attending college. Becca just loved and adored kids.
As a young girl, Becca enjoyed playing with all of the neighborhood kids, especially on the trampoline. Those blonde curls of hers never stopped moving, as Becca played with her cousins, in hopes of finding that next adventure on her grandparents’ farm, in Long Prairie, MN. She too was involved with playing softball for P.L.A.Y. In high school, Becca enjoyed participating in track as a sprinter. A 2013 Prior Lake High School graduate, Becca was currently furthering her education at Mankato State University as a junior. Her emphasis was on helping people, either through teaching, nursing or more recently focusing on public health.
Becca was always on the move. As a little girl attending vacation bible camps and enjoying the sun while playing in the sand and water. As a family, precious memories were made exploring all the adventures of Disney World. But it was the annual Fourth of July trip to Duluth that was most precious to her. Enjoying the scenery, skipping rocks and climbing the cliffs with her sisters brought them all great joy. As time went on, Becca was able to attend Young Life, a Christian ministry, and renewed her commitment to God, in Colorado, She enjoyed visiting a special friend in Florida. Becca loved watching MSU hockey and Disney movies and carving pumpkins with her sisters. This coming January, she was looking forward to a special vacation to Australia, where she was going to be able to go white water rafting, hiking and rock climbing.
Left to honor Becca’s life and forever missing her are parent’s Chuck and Connie Sukola; sisters, Nicki and Abby; grandma, Eleanor Sukola; grandpa, Norman Reinbold; many aunts and uncles, cousin and devoted friends.
Becca was welcomed into the arms of Jesus with her Grandma, Jane Reinbold and Grandpa Daniel Sukola by his side.
